Read the room before the room asks.
Retail and hospitality trained me to notice friction early, communicate plainly and remember that the person using the system is not an edge case.
A handover is part of the work.
Functions, shop floors and kitchens all punish invisible state. Clear progress and clean handovers keep small gaps from becoming everybody's emergency.
The rush is not a personality test.
Stay calm, prioritise what matters, fix the next thing and keep the customer experience whole—even when five things need attention at once.

These jobs did not secretly teach me C#. They did teach me reliability, customer awareness, teamwork and composure while I worked my way into engineering. The code came later. The responsibility did not.

The difficult part was not displaying one successful scan. It was coordinating validation, evidence retrieval, CCTV references, printing and later investigation as one auditable operational path.

Cross-platform does not mean “write once and stop thinking.” Platform behaviour, permissions, packaging and release requirements still needed deliberate attention.

Its first product, Frank, explores how voice, memory and on-demand vision can make everyday context more accessible.

Context before camera.
Frank combines conversation, persistent memory and on-demand vision on the phone itself. A user can connect cameras, audio devices or wearables if they prefer, but extra hardware is not required.
The problemUseful context disappears between moments.

The evidenceReal tests changed the design.
A test worth having: Frank recognised a bottle and remembered an earlier global-warming conversation. It also exposed stale visual context, latency and silence-detection problems. Those findings changed the product.
